Voters
are looking to their elected
representatives for more
responsiveness; customers are
looking to vendors for better
service; your members are telling
you they want a greater voice in
where their association is headed.
Encourage this desire for
involvement; it builds member
satisfaction, in two ways: members
appreciate (and enjoy) the process
of putting forth their opinions; and
the association learns valuable
information.
Many
associations have gotten the
message: they’re committed to
providing exceptional service and
value to their members. But here’s
the thing: as an association, you
don’t get to define what
constitutes exceptional service and
value — only your members and
potential members can. That’s why
you have to ask them.
Naturally,
your best opportunities for member
involvement are at your meetings and
conventions. Using QEV’s
Perception Analyzer Service, you now
have the capability of collecting
immediate feedback from your members
and conducting instantaneous polls.
Here’s how it works.
Each
participant is given a hand-held,
wireless computer input device.
During a discussion — say of the
association’s legislative
priorities for the coming year —
you can periodically stop your
presentation and put propositions to
a vote. The results are
instantaneously available, and can
be displayed to the audience via
projection TV or overhead projector.
In addition to voting
"yea" or "nay"
on a proposition, participants can
also select one of several different
options. The discussion can then
proceed, guided by the expressed
opinions of the audience. In fact,
you can empower your audiences to
take the discussions in different,
more relevant (to them) directions.
Not
only can the poll results be
displayed instantaneously, the
system also retains the results in a
permanent data file, from which we
conduct a detailed and sophisticated
analysis (much as we would with any
of our traditional survey projects).
The results from several meetings
can be aggregated, meaning you can
use the Perception Analyzer Service
to collect data at a series
of regional meetings. Participants
can also use the devices to give us
demographic or other profile data
about themselves, information which
allows us to dissect how responses
differ by the characteristics of the
respondent. QEV uses Columbia
Business System’s state-of-the-art
perception analyzer system, which
was originally developed to test
audience responses to video
presentations — speeches,
commercials, interviews, TV
programs, "B rolls" —
and this application is also
available to you.
In
short, QEV’s Perception Analyzer
Service isn’t just
for entertainment (although it is
entertaining) — it collects
serious information which can be
critical to the success of your
association achieving a higher level
of member satisfaction.
Put
our Perception Analyzer Service to
work for you.
